K-PAX: prot wears Hi-Ball sunglasses from Dita Eyewear.

He's got 100% UV protection plus absorption at blue wavelengths in the dark amber lense, which is not ideal if his peak visual acuity is shifted from the human green (~555 Å) towards that end of the spectrum:

Physically, the only unusual finding was the patient's ability to see light at wavelengths well into the ultraviolet range -- 300 ångstroms.

He might also tan differently, if he got out more.

It's not often that the lead character wears sunglasses throughout a movie. Chances for success were increased by casting Kevin Spacey in place of Will Smith as the low-key prot. The theme of this movie is appropriate for release in the aftermath of WTC.

A golden opportunity missed by Oakley?
