Clarification: Men tend to be more courageous in situations which require violence- -such as taking down a hijacker or fighting a war.

I expect that if the need to take down a hijacker presented itself I would act but probably not right away. I would assume that many others around me would be more skilled and effective so I would defer to them. I wouldn't hesitate, though, because I'm a woman.

When it came to holding the guy down, however, I'd be there. I've put on 25 pounds in the last month. I could make myself useful just by sitting on the guy--and pay back Osama for the pounds in the process. <g>
