Sorry. Yes, I meant the author seems to be a religious liberal and also either politically liberal or an cock-eyed optimist or both. He spins a nice enough yarn, even if he left out us non-believers. By non-believers, I mean atheists/agnostics, not "infidels."

Speaking of being left out, I watched the service at the Pentagon the other day. Had I lost someone in the attack, I would have felt worse after that service. OTOH, at least they didn't sing "Onward Christian Soldiers."
