It's a good idea, I think, when you and I are talking about the Clintons or any other public figures, to refer to them by their real names. See? I know how to push buttons too. :-) OK. In parting that practice, let me see that I believe that Clinton earned every letter and every syllable of his sobriquet. He certainly set a new low for Presidents. He may have set a new low for politicians. I think there would be a lot of political power thrown behind any attempt that Hillary made at a run for the Presidency. I've got to echo Karen here: she's a lightning rod. Republicans and other conservatives, rightists, whatever, will vote against by the million. And a large chunk of the center will go with them. She would be left with committed never-say-Republican leftists. And there aren't enough of them. Would I vote for a Republican pro-choice man over a female candidate? I have no problem with a female President. Never have. But for the doubters, if Margaret Thatcher and Golda Meir didn't show women can handle national power and be tough as nails when need be, what will?
