I still believe Hussein will be taken down from within, by coup.

This seems very unlikely, he has ruthlessly liquidated *anybody* that posed the slightest threat.

Sometimes these regimes can seem to go on forever, just look at N. Korea.

But on the subject, does anyone have any facts about the economic sanctions and other measures used to keep his regime in check? I'm really tired of hearing how the US is responsible for over 500K children dead of malnutrition Just what is the real story? Any interesting links to get me started on some research?
