I still think you are confused by relativism.

I'm only confused because I am being given different definitions by different people. You say that its a matter of opinion (adding "of the group that holds it") others say that if the situation matters or if you have to use words (like murder) that are open to interpretation to describe it then you are talking about moral relativism.

It's not that difficult of a concept. If you believe that something or someone can stand independent of the observation act (whether it is one or many that hold it), then you are believe in absolutes.

That is pretty much the definition I would have used. I would probably have worded it differently but essentially meant the same thing. By that standard I am a believer in moral absolutes.
