(if there were any)
Selective blindness on both sides? :-)

Clinton had the sense to listen to Greenspan and other advisors about the effect that low interest rates and no budget deficits would have on the economy. He gets credit for that.

But Ronnie should get credit for making that possible. It was his craziness (like a fox) about Star Wars that forced the Soviets into an arms race that burned out their economic engine and forced Gorbachev into perestroika in an attempt to get more out of the creaking hulk. When that spun out of control, eastern Europe bolted and the USSR came unglued.

And I figured you wouldn't have any problem with a female president....just as long as she's to the right of Genghis Khan. -g
Well I told you who I would consider acceptable.

Is Margaret Thatcher still alive? Maybe we could amend the Constitution. :-)

I thought Clinton was a good President. I hated what he did with Lewinsky, hated even more his smarmy coverup of it,
but to let that overshadow his Presidency is not right, IMO.

And that's the difference. To me that's like saying Tricky Dick (can I use that instead of his real name?) was OK except for some questionable judgements about handling Watergate.
