Ike, does Afghanistan have a future as a nation? Or should it be broken up and the pieces parceled out to its neighbors along ethnic lines? Or, perversely, if we threaten to break it up would this be a sly way of getting the warring factions to finally agree on a mutually acceptable government of national unity?
