Corporations pay taxes on net income. They should pay taxes on gross revenues just like individual tax returns. This would put an end to the poorly managed companies. Companies that cannot sustain profitabiity put unrealistic pressure out of profit margins and create unrealistic swings in the economy. The government spends way too much time justifying deflationary pressure on pricing for telecom services, transportation, and other goods and services. They think this is good for the consumer - in reality it is bad for the economy and the consumer.
