What you are doing, is starting with a premise (that agnostics MUST have done something awful) and you are searching for fulfillment. I, on the other hand, as a student of history, am pretty sure I've never read of any tyrant or evil person, or even people who were pacific to the point of demise, who didn't really believe in something. To believe that everything is unknowable means you don't follow idiots who claim to know, NOR are you pacific for silly reasons when someone wants to kill you. It's really quite healthy to be agnostic, as long as believers don't try to kill you just because you are one (always a danger).
