Made some calls today. Nobody seems to have an answer or they're not talking. Had one guy tell me he figured the REIT's are starting to fill up with garbage and perhaps the quality holdings in Gentra are starting to look very attractive (mentioned the Exchange Tower in particular, a purchase that at the time looked like they paid to much with with that very low cap rate that now seems to be getting much closer to today's market). Overall, I think it's just a reflection of a very bullish commercial real estate market in the large centres.
