A dog might put off a mugger. I'm not sure. I don't believe a dog for the blind
would be taught to attack someone. The guide dogs that I've encountered in public have been
friendly.

A blind man or woman with a cane and good martial arts skills could be deadly because
the attacker would probably not expect what was about to happen.
