Harris was an Aryan Nations member at the time of the plague case, said spokesman Mark Potok.

In Hayden Lake, Idaho, Aryan Nations founder Richard Butler denied Harris was a member of his Christian Identity, a white-separatist sect.

Just like Richard Butler to disavow his "own"... This dude has a VERY bizarre view on the world, and can't be trusted as far as you can throw him...

Interviewed him once during my college years for a research project. He tried to reconstitute the Aryan Nations in our our county back in 1979, but all it took was one cross burning in a pasture south of town and that predominantly mormon community him and his group out of town and sent them scurrying up north to Hayden Lake (where they just lost their lease as the result of a lawsuit judgement against them).
