Jack, tear a terri or territory is always three dimensional. So, imagine a lake on the land, length, width, & depth. A Hectare relates to both 10,000 Square Miles and or 2.47 Acres. Back to the basics; the heck with the Hectare, unless you want the Acre-Feet, the Board Foot or a kick in the gaboom.

The yard of 27 above so cubed must now be run some 5,240 feet but 1 X 1X 1 = 5,240 with the lenght and depth taken into play.
