Tonight's news suggested that the Saudis have backed the radical form of Islam of Bin Laden and the Taliban.
Why would they do that? I had heard over the weekend that some Saudis backed Bin Laden, but I never
thought it was extensive.

If Pat were here and not attending to personal business, I think she'd ask the right questions.
I can't imagine why the Saudis would back this type of radical Islam. The press suggested that the
Saudis gave money to the cause as long as they had it under control but eventually they lost
control.
