What is useful for me can't necessarily be useful for everyone. It becomes a prima facie argument for a particular course of action of mine. The Jews in my attic represent a scourge on humanity and the Gestapo is performing a hygiene maneuver. I disagree and don't accept their a priori assumptions of the Jew=vermin equality.

Can I prove it is useful to not persecute Jews? Probably not. And I'd add, what is useful for me (like it is useful to satisfy the Sun God) may depend a lot on my a priori assumptions (about the relationships of the Sun God to me vis-a-vis, sacrifices). My whole epistemological framework enters the picture, only to leave me thinking - "I gotta do what I think is right and useful!"

How is that "absolute - [dictionary: Something regarded as independent of and unrelated to anything else ] " in the sense that it is independent of my experiences and understanding? I guess that's the core of what I don't get.
