The photographer was sick for several days before he went to the hospital. It wasn't a matter of hours.

My college roommate, who is now a medical micro-bacteriologist professor at a research college, made some common sense suggestions, don't bother opening mail which you'd toss out anyway (mostly junk mail), but keep doing what you love to do, refuse to let terror win.
