I think the statement begs the question by assuming that we have no responsibility for sexual actions and that all sexuality is amoral. The measure of our character, is directly connected to what we do.

Well, of course sexuality is amoral. Just like bathing is amoral and eating and sleeping and scratching an itch. Why would you think otherwise?

There are things one can do in the course of engaging in those activities that reflect on your character. If you rush to the front of the buffet line and take all the shrimp, that shows a character flaw. If you cheat on your spouse, that shows a character flaw. If you sleep on the job, that shows a character flaw. But sleeping is still amoral. I ask you again, why would you think otherwise?
