Maybe you and I should combine My cheesy questions with your whiney answers and have a party. You can't discuss, and not discuss the biblical position on homosexuality at the same time. which would you like to do? I don't know enough about your theological views to be able to determine what you do, or do not, believe, I find your statements on the matter to be confusing and contradictory. I would love to have an open and fair discussion with you on the matter, but you seem to be satisfied with occasional sniper fire. By stating publicly "that your Christianity is nothing like mine." you, not I, fired the first volley.
"I have never stated that your brand of Christianity is wrong"
Are you now saying that it is right? Clearly if not explicitly you have insinuated that it is, but then refused to discuss it. From a biblical perspective, which part of my beliefs are extreme and why. I don't see myself as an extremist, and neither do most of my acquaintances, present company excluded apparently. Do I have firmly held beliefs? Yes. Do I force them on others? No. I think I made some general comments about Liberal Christianity in general that you perhaps construed as being personally directed at you. I can't recall having a discussion with you directly about the matter but apparently it's OK for you to classify my beliefs as dangerous, while not revealing your own. I am quite willing to leave the matter alone with regards to you personally, but I am here to exchange ideas, and engage in debate. I assumed that is why you were here also. If my ideas about who Christ is, and what he did, are wrong, then shouldn't I, at least be entitled to know how and why? Are you willing to just leave me here in my ignorance? If you were wrong, would you want to know?
Have a good day Poet, I will probably be in and out for most of the day, and then we are having friends over for a bible study later. We are using a study by R.C. Sproul on the Holiness of God. Are you familiar with it? |
