The only solution is a government bailout package for traders

Hi, Or "in-a-nut-shell" discussion for shorting. :)))
The following just hit me this morning....
I was reading that the short interest was at an all time high(?, I think) of 1.8% for the big board two weeks ago...and I thought that, "hi, 1.8% does not seem material.." However, that's 1.8% of the float....and if, generally speaking, only 10 of the float has been engaging in the the "real" buy/sell(asset allocation) category...and the rest was just daily trading...then the short-covering rally(as well as short-induced drops) can be very impressive.

Naz shorting/short covering are more so. ps. I just sold my Csco shares and that's a 50% gain in two weeks. I am getting ready to sell the Yhoo shares and that's 50% too. (both are not large positions.)

Regards.
