Ashley Laurent Embedded Software to Support Hifn Encryption Chips
AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 16, 2001--Ashley Laurent, a global market leader in embedded broadband service solutions for integrated chip vendors and broadband device manufacturers, announces a partnership with Hifn(tm) (Nasdaq:HIFN - news), the market leader in network security processors and flow classification products.
Through this partnership, Ashley Laurent's BroadWay(tm) Integrated Service Software (ISS) will be optimized to work with Hifn's encryption processors.
BroadWay ISS provides a number of value-added services that are embedded into the IAD (Internet Access Device) at the chip level. They include managed firewall, family friendly or business productivity content filtering, managed VPN, and others. These embedded services can lie dormant until they are activated by the end user, thus delivering a recurring revenue stream for the service provider.
