Recession of any kind, north american, localized to mideastern or even global is not an answer IMHO.. Neither is embargo.. I sure am not recommending recession as a deliberate move! You have to get the majority of population educated enough and prosperous enough that they have something to lose.. Certainly that is the answer, but it seems to only happen in capitalistic societies, particularly democracies or those that are moving that way. So a lot of people whose only guilt is to be born within a region are held hostage to lifestyles that they will never be able to get out of, not if depending on their current leadership. Sure won't get fixed on a global basis overnight.
