Amy, <<<. I honestly don't understand why we talk so much about AMD>>>

I could be way off base, but I have often wondered the same question. Why do we talk so much about AMD and with so much passion. What intrigues me is why there appears to be so much disinformation - mostly in AMD's favor.

Most of the highly technical people that side with Intel are for the most part Intel employees or ex-employees. Almost all identify themselves as such. Others have vested interest, in that they have substantial investments with Intel. And, for the most part, that comes out.

But, the highly technical techies that side with AMD don't seem to have natural reasons for it. By that I mean, they don't identify themselves as working for AMD and they don't seem to have a lot invested in AMD. They talk more about shorting Intel, rather than investing in AMD.

It may be that I have been invested in Intel for too long now and I am picking up on their Corporate paranoid-prone culture.

Mary
