The only reference in Woody Allen's Sleeper to a broker or to Polaroid is in the scene right after he's told that he's been cryogenically frozen then revived (this prior scene is played in pantomime). As he puts the pieces of his life together, he says, "You know, I bought Polaroid at 7. It's probably up millions by now."

It's actually interesting that you vividly remember a call to a broker. This is a graphic example of what in psychology is called confabulation. It is most interesting to me because I regard you as a person exceptionally free of the typical human whims. I guess it just proves that deep down, we are all bound by the hard-wiring from natural selection, heredity, or, if you're a Stephen Wolfram devotee, the playing out of our cellular rules.
