The assassination of Prime Minister Rabin is an example. Fundamentalist Jews have gained tremendous power in Israel in the last few years and with the election of Sharon they basically hold the power. According to Shahak and Mezvinsky, both Jews, the fundamentalist are often in a position to determine elections.
