Alan,
As you've noted, the stock is in a downtrend, and I think to some extent
this is feeding on itself. Many people in the market these days are
very short term oriented and will sell when a stock drops below a
certain point regardless of any fundamental considerations. Also I think
that the stock has been hurt by the weak sales and price cutting in
the PC market, even though the company gets most of its profits these
days from its network sales and support, rather than from hardware
sales. As I've stated in previous posts on this thread, I expect the
release by Microsoft in the next month or two of their updated Windows
NT software to be a big plus for all companies involved in networking,
and I expect to see better and better numbers from TRNT by the
end of this year and first couple of quarters of 1997. I'm continuing
to buy the dips here and picked up another 3,000 today at $2.50 which
I feel is dirt cheap. I doubt that the stock is going anywhere in the
very short run but once it begins to move you won't be able to buy at
prices like this.
