I remember very well the 13 to 18% rates we got on some fixed investments back then.

We also had an oil embargo back then too. Demand was actually high, high enough that a whole new class of vehicles was manufactured to meet the demand of higher fuel economy. And a bunch of boomers entering their 30's.

Just look at them now...with their shrinking retirement funds and diminished purchasing capacity <vbg>
