What is this DVD drive. Who makes it, Does IMP make any parts? I see Iomega has been on a good roll, too bad I dont own it. It looks like the company has rearranged the deck chairs.
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 1997--IMP Inc. (NASDAQ:IMPX) today announced that Phil Ferguson has been appointed President, CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of IMP Inc.

Former IMP Inc. President and CEO David A. Laws has been promoted to Chairman of the Board, and will continue to have an active management role with the Company. Ferguson, 66, held senior management positions at Texas Instruments and Fairchild Semiconductor, and was founder, President and CEO of General Microelectronics Inc., the first commercial supplier of MOS devices.

Recently he has been principal of Ferguson Associates, providing domestic and international high-technology consulting services. Recent assignments have included CEO or COO responsibilities with QuickLogic Corp. and Paradigm Technologies Inc. He has been consulting with IMP Inc. since December 1996.

"We are pleased to appoint a CEO with the extensive experience and industry knowledge of Phil Ferguson. His hiring should strengthen our management team and we look forward to his contributions in the future," commented Laws.

IMP Inc. is a supplier of analog and high-voltage wafer foundry services and standard analog integrated circuits for computer, communications and control applications.
