Thanks AJB.

I have been exceptionally impressed with my Monster 3d, which I have hooked up as a pass through to a Matrox Millenium with 8 MB. Most impressive, and well loved in the gaming world, has been the GL DLL used for GLQuake. While I have heard of some early problems with the Stingray, the prospectus for 3dfx says that they will have new chipsets in the market in the next year: from memory I believe a Voodoo II and something called Banshee.

Do you think these will be competitive with AGP chipsets? Can third parties used these chipsets on 100 MHz AGP cards?

I'll watch the stock tomorrow -- I decided not to place a buy order tonight before we see what the offering will be. I wonder how wide the hype over the IPO will be? So far, I have seen virtually NOTHING in the ZD and CMP press and certainly not in investment press.

Andrew
