RE:I suppose it matters what you issue you are yielding and what the consequences of not yielding are. Churchill's mantra was "We will never surrender". It was death before surrender, better to die free than live as a slave! Ever heard the words to "Rule Britannia", which is like a second national anthem in Great Britain. I was born in England and two lines stick in my head: "Rule, Britannia, Britannia rules the waves. Britons never never never shall be slaves." The USA now has a negligible threat of being taken over by a foreign force compared to what Great Britain had during WWII. The main question I'm asked by friends in England is if the USA has the balls to go ahead with a ground troop invasion and the casualties that will follow. Historically, Great Britain has the stomach for higher casualties in a conflict than the US has. In my family, we've had deaths in WWI and WWII and I have nephews in the British royal air force in this conflict. I pray that they will be unharmed.
