He couldn't swim? When I was 14, I was on a flotation device off the beach in Ocean City, MD, and started to drift out, the counter- current being strong. When I noticed, I was a bit panicky, but jumped off and swam back, with the device in tow, because I had borrowed it. If I had not been able to swim, I would have been in serious trouble.........
