We know that the WTC terrorists made extensive use of th Internet for their secret communications. It is no stretch that our enemies currently monitor threads like this one, to get a reading of American public It is possible but I don't think it likely that we are being monitored by Al-Qaida. Their numbers are not limitless, many of them probably don't have regular internet access, there are many thousands of internet forums, and they probably have other things on their minds right now (either dodging bombs or planning their next attack).
