I don't disagree with you- I just don't think anyone is wading through the excessive amount of posting on BR by a very small sample group and giving it much credence. Sort of a diminishing return thing. But I certainly could be wrong. You bring up something that I was wondering, though. Do you think that other cultures might not misinterpret the American tradition of disagreeing openly as more of a weakness than the strength it really is? If the enemy is viewing someone who has a contrary opinion to his neighbor to mean that he doesn't ultimately stand behind his country, I think they make a grave error.
