Gartner, META Group, IDC and other leading industry analyst firms continue to name BEA the market leader for application servers based on software license revenue and on units deployed by global enterprises. Complementing Gartner's findings, a recent survey of Fortune 2000-class enterprises conducted by leading industry research firm META Group revealed that BEA holds 37% of the market for deployed application servers, a number that is nearly 70% higher than IBM. For applications leveraging Enterprise JavaBeans, BEA holds an even more commanding lead, nearly 4-to-1 over the number two vendor.
