Complementing Gartner's findings, a recent survey of Fortune 2000-class enterprises conducted by leading industry research firm META Group revealed that BEA holds 37% of the market for deployed application servers, a number that is nearly 70% higher than IBM. For applications leveraging Enterprise JavaBeans, BEA holds an even more commanding lead, nearly 4-to-1 over the number two vendor.
