"This is a board for all of us to learn how to use our Personal Computers. I have
learned a lot of what I know by simply asking others on SI how to do things. Such
as how to copy and paste, how to research things and so on. If you have a
question on how to operate simply post your question and we will try to answer
your questions." - Lamar (Junkyardawg), Thread Originator, Aug 4, 1998 9:31

Here's your thread's purpose summed up in the first frigging paragraph!

I pointed out HOW TO FRIGGING RESEARCH THINGS", my second post by the way to this thread, and you ignore my first posting re: reformatting due to a bug in SP-1 upgrade for a WIN95 sys, and you jump on my SECOND post re: how to RESEARCH a company that might be of interest USING ONE'S PC AND SI in combination.

Some of my best sector investments have come from the recommendations of S/W and H/W solutions, aka MSFT, INTL, McAfee, etc., etc., etc.

Why don't you modify the thread purpose statement one more time and state that only people who are deemed worthy by you are welcome to email you first, ask your permission, pass a written test, and THEN be permitted to post.

Ignoring and then rude attack of well meaning and DEFINITELY on topic posts is most discourteous and your criticism is roundly and heartily rejected. I have much to offer you, cow-know-it-all, but only if you'll stop being rude enough to permit someone new in your private fiefdom. FOR EXAMPLE: I'm co-moderator of a local Computer Club and deal with these kinds of questions every month. Next meeting is tomorrow night, 7:30 at the local Grange. You might be invited, but perhaps too opinionated to be welcome.

FYI:
I only posted my CNET research using SI tips as a thank you for the cookie software management URL discussions, like a shared with so I'll share in return kind of participation. We discussed cookie management at last months meeting, and I'm taking those 3 additional s/w URL solutions to the group tomorrow night as follow-up help thanks to this hostile thread.

Disappointedly but I'm here to stay, so live with it
