Coups seem to be endemic to under-developed countries that lack a strong infrastructure.

It is possible to change how and what Israel is and how it will behave as far as it concerns American's desires as long as it has it's hand in our pocket. Short of that, they can do whatever they want within International Law, as all others should. BTW, you do not think that the State of Israel was a coup? The British thought so.

It seems that most politicians look for diversions from their failures, Clinton included.

Saddam is an old world tyrant, who was gassing the Kurds when the US was propping him up to fight against Iran and no mention was made of that at the time.

We highlight what we like to justify present and past actions, so it seems.
