Nice to meet a fellow 3DFX chip card owner

I have that Stingray 128/3D that makes playing Tomb Raider into a religious experience. I could not get the GL-Quake overlays to work correctly, but that's probably my fault. There are some conflicts between my card, and the newer AWE32 & 64 Soundblaster cards, however, Email tech support was very quick to respond with a work around, so this issue should not make this product stumble. I'm pretty sure the Voodoo II will be backward's compatible with all current 3DFX optimized game code. That's a big selling point for 3DFX products. As for AGP, my understanding is that ATI is the only one actually supporting it right now. Most players will wait till AMD & Intel get their chipsets out for 100Mhz bus designs you mentioned which may first crop up on an AMD Socket 7 board, and then the Pentium II by year end. Exactly how it will compete with preprietary systems like 3DFX is anyone's guess, but Intel is very determined to eventually put most Graphic Chip makers out of business (despite what SIII says), and after shorting OPTi several years ago when Intel put chip set makers out of business, I've learned that Intel usually get's what it wants...
