Never mind pictures, I've been to Afghanistan. It's a technologically backward country just like it's neighbours. Iran was making progress until the ayatollahs took over. I believe you lack patience, the air attacks are clearing the way for ground troops to go in and "smoke them out". Heck, let them freeze all winter in their caves before we kill them, that's fine with me.
