Let's project the current level of terrorist activity to an extreme (but not entirely unrealistic) conclusion. Muslim extremists groups, assisted by moles and sympathizers within the USA, smuggle in 10 suitcase nuclear weapons (procured from the Russian mafia) into our country. One day in the near future, they all detonate simultaneously, taking out NYC, Boston, Philly, WashDC, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and St. Louis. 30 million people are killed, millions more soon to die from the effects of radiation.
If I understand your position, it would be preferable to allow this to occur as opposed to allowing the curtailment certain rights and freedoms that certains non-citizens now enjoy?
Assuming you two were not among the vaporized, would you then come on to SI HTP proud of the fact that we as a nation upheld our principles?
