Re: "Kenneth ... gives us a clear window into the depth of partisan hatred many on the far left wing of the Democrat party share toward our President."
Your problem, Michael, is that everyone who doesn't think exactly like you is "the enemy."
Time for a little history lesson: For eight years, 1992-2000, the Republicans conducted a "holy war" to oust President Clinton from office. He had to endure a perpetual Starr Chamber, an impeachment proceeding, constant criticism from the right in Congress, and hours and hours of daily bashing from the likes of Rush Limbo, Sean Hannity and other AM radio hate mongers.
I find it laughable that now, after eight years of tearing down the institution of the presidency, Republicans are imploring everyone to to rally 'round the Commander in Chief for the sake of national unity.
Hogwash.
While America is united in the war vs. terrorism, I can assure you that America is not united on how the Republicans attempted to undermine this country for eight years to push their agenda of tax breaks for the wealthy and Big Business and force-feed what amounts to a religious state upon the American people.
Sorry. You reap what you sow.
P.S. You know nothing about the common working man. Hence, you cannot possibly judge whether Mr. Phillipps is on target or not. (Hint: He is.) |
