I can see why none of you came up with this suggestion <g> :

FL,

FADG is so timely, worth while and popular that it is suffering from too many posts. (your words - or something like that). I certainly agree with you.

Here's the deal: I think "we" can make some money with P2P (Pay to Post). This will limit the posts in number and will keep out some of the riff-raff. If the fees are paid to a charitable organization there will be no tax problem for us. I like the sound of "P2P and Buy a Boat". ( I volunteer to organize collection of the "American Dollar Deposits for Posting (ADDFP). Patriotic, too.)

Here's how it "might" work: Set a ftp = "fee to post". This could be done many ways. Lawyers charged a "premium" fee (the highest), jerks charged a "nuisance" fee, SCUBA divers and uw charged nothing, etc. (In fact, you may need to pay uw to get him to post here.)

Or: charge $1 ea. for the first 50 posts of the day (POTDs), $5 ea. for the next 25 POTDs and $10 for the next 25 POTDs, etc.

Opportunities and ideas are limitless, but I can't spend any more of my valuable time with this unless you show some interest.
:)
