Jalai, GP has a reputation for great support, but I believe that is because their products are designed for lower-end 'canned' financial application requirements. Its hard to get in trouble with it, but that is because its more of a 'one size fits all' financial solution. I have rarely seen the product put in really tough application situations; it often doesn't meet requirements that other 'high-end' financial packages address. Platinum does require inhouse both CPA level accounting apptitude, and, a strong working knowledge of the technical platform on which the financial database is to be configured & run. Reputations aside, GP's current valuation seems a 'tad high' for a 'canned' software company that has plenty of competition in its markets.
