A powerful characterization tonight from Senator John Kerry. Namely, that we as a people have a generational obligation to put an end to terrorism. He reaffirmed his total support for resolute action. Perhaps others have heard him say this before; I haven't. This is a moving, stirring phrase to remind us that we are not fighting this battle merely to save our own skins, but to save those who will come after us. All who are parents and grandparents with pictures of children adorning refrigerator doors know just what he is talking about. JC
