I heartily agree with your comments. I applaud this column written by Dr. Muqtedar Khan.

But, after all that I have heard, seen, and read this last month, it occurs to me that his voice will not be heard in the Muslim world. He will be seen as a lackey of the "Godless" west. He lives in the US, so anything he says is of no value for much of Islam.

How do we get his views into the Madrassahas of Pakistan? How do we get Pakistani clerics and schools to stop teaching hatred of the west and of the US?

How do we get his views into the schools of Saudi Arabia? How do we get their clerics and schools to stop teaching hatred of the west and of the US?

The Muslem clerics in most of Islam are, to my mind, without authority. They get their authority by leading masses of starving young people and by inciting them to riot and hatred. Where is there a Muslim country that has an honest group of clerics that preach the kind of teachings from the Kuran I have been led to believe exist?

I am not optimistic as long as so much hatred exists. The demographics are against the possibility of western beliefs or values getting an honest appraisal. Millions of young Muslem kids, with little to no food or a chance to get a job or earn a living, become prey to the malicious actions of all too many Muslim "clerics" that betray the teachings of the Kuran for their own political agendas.

I wish I was wrong. I wish things could be different. What difference will the article by Dr. Muqtedar Khan really make in the infinite scheme of things? How many leaders in Muslim countries will read it or give it any consideration? How many so-called Muslim clerics will do the same?
