I honestly don't pay much attention to Israel, but it certainly got my attention when my mother - we are not Jewish - started raving about "Bibi." The last person she raved about like that was Bruce Springsteen. Netanyahu is far more personable than Sharon, and he comes across very well on Hannity and Colmes.

I had to shake my head when he started on that riff about how "the US is going after terrorism so why shouldn't we?" They're all playing that one these days.

Obviously, he wants back.

His points seem well taken to me - it would be crazy for Israel to agree to sovereignty for Palestine in the sense of allowing it to bring in tanks from Iraq, or control of the aquifer that supplies 40% of Israel, or any of the other things we think of when we think of sovereignty.

I don't have a solution. Not that I feel bad about it - I don't think anyone has a solution.

"Can't we all live in peace?" not being an option.
