ABC's telecast of two winless teams in a dreary 9-7 Dallas Cowboys victory earned a 9.9 national rating. That was below the NFL's season average but well ahead of the 8.4 rating posted by Fox for the fifth and decisive game of the A's-Yankees playoff series.

Each rating point represents a little more than 1 million households, which means about 1.5 million more people watched the Cowboys' sloppy victory over the Washington Redskins than the Yankees capping a remarkable comeback in the first round of the American League playoffs.

Baseball is rather boring, especially when that **** McCarver is broadcasting every game. When did he last play 1978 or so. Cheez, get some young ex-player in there with some fresh thoughts.
