i laff when i read you guys posting back and forth to one another about the "value" of a stock or why it is or isnt worth X dollars.

what the hell difference does it make?

i used to have a boss who instilled in me a phrase which i have never forgotten. he always used to say:

BE DUMB; MAKE MONEY

i dont think it really matters whether or not you can figure out what a company is worth. the only thing that i think is important is that your on the right side at the right time because the very nature of the market allows for stocks to become extreemely overvalued or undervalued depending on your valuation model -- and since a stock is only worth what you're willing to pay for it -- its pretty difficult to tell sometimes.

it wouldnt matter if you called BRE-X a scam at $100 bucks a share. it would even matter if you KNEW it was a scam and shorted it -- if the stock is going to go to $280.00 before its goes to zero - you have one hell of a LONG wait and probably insufficient margin to endure it.

wouldnt matter if you knew that CMRC was overvalued at $100.00 bucks -- it still had to go to $600.00 before reality set in.

didnt matter if you thought the NAZ was overvalued at 2500 - it still went to 5200 before it turned.

im fairly certain that a lot of shorts have been scorched recently. i notice FLINT hasnt been posting lately:

another thing - how you guys proclaim your positions. i tend to believe little of what i read on the internet. i can conceive of a master at shorting being long the stock and inducing others to short and then buying like hell to drive the price and cannabalize the shorts -- causing their covering to drive the price higher -- at which time the shorter would then begin to short the stock heavily followed by unloading his own long position.

long or short - the important thing is to be on the side that makes you $$$$$$$

anyway - just my thoughts.
