Ron: Here's an interesting hypothetical. I'd be interested in your opinion. What would have happened had the hijacked jets crashed into the World Trade Center in early '98 instead of 9-11-01? What would have happened had the terrorist attacks occurred the exact moment when GOP Reps. Henry Hyde and Steve Chabot marched from the House to the Senate to present the papers of impeachment? Would the Republicans have rallied 'round the president during this time of crisis, or would the Republicans have gone ahead with the impeachment proceedings ... knowing full well that such partisan politics might seriously put the country at further risk?
