I don't know about the pie, Frank, but I just ran across an fantastic program on astronomy called "Starry Night". I won't waste your time explaining it, just go to

starrynight.com

and download the free 7 day trial. read the manual with it first, and have a blast. It turns your computer into a backyard planetarium. It can do stuff I have never seen done in a planetarium.
