World Trade Towers never to be rebuilt?

Hi Bonnuss -- A Boston Globe Sunday Magazine article (not available online) explains why these kind of buildings will never be built again, anywhere. It is much for the reasons you mention, such as vast numbers of workers pinned down in interior spaces far from windows and the psychological toll that causes. Most, perhaps all, of these extremely tall buildings went up at the same as the towers, and by now architectural preferences have changed considerably, with much more focus on the human factor.. One memorable comment I recall was that the towers looked more like the boxes they came in, rather than the actual buildings.
